The TrialClix Discussion
« on: January 26, 2005, 03:22:44 AM »
I just signed up at TrialClix and after doing a little bit of searching, found that there isn't a whole lot of user created information out there.  The most I found was a post at the Gratis Offers Guide Forum which served as good reading material before signing up, yet I could still use more information.  I wanted to start this thread so that others who are using TrialClix could offer their advice and experience to those who are interested.  I also plan on documenting my own experiences on this thread.

I am going to post this once for the rest of us
Quote
The TrialClix Overview

TrialClix is an Offer comparison site that allows you to find and try offers on the web, and earn valuable points for trying out new stuff.

For a limited time we're offering 50 Points to all new members, so don't wait! Start earning your free rewards now!

Click here to find out more about this offer:
http://www.TrialClix.com/index.asp?refID=67560

Please be elegant with posting your referral IDs on this thread because it is supposed to act as a thread for discussion and not for spam.

My First question is regarding the Web Hosting offers.  Web Hosting offers are worth up to 700 points and most of them have a 30 day money back guarentee minus the setup fees.  A lot of the companies offer free setup fees for 1 year's subscription at less than $9 dollars a month.  It looks like you can complete an offer by signing up for the web hosting, paying close to $100 dollars and cancelling within a month retaining the points.  This is only a theory however and if this is not the case, it seems to be a big risk ($100) for 700 points.  Has anyone participated in the Web Hosting offers before?

Also, if you are interested in knowing the points given for offers and the points of prizes, I can report that information to you.

Concerning the Web Hosting Offer

You must stay committed to a webhost for a minimum of 31 days before cancelling.  This is 1 day outside of the money back guarentee for most companies.  Ah well, now that we know that the web hostnig offer is not a free offer, the next question is if it is cheaper to sign up for a 3 month contract gaining 700 points then signing up for multiple 150 point offers.

Status Report:

1-25-05
I registered for Trialclix on 1/25/05 using the Ebay Offer.  I bid on an item that I was interested in buying (Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance) with my TrialClix ebay account and later outbid this account with my real ebay account.

1-26-05
I completed the Efax and AOL offers.  I also received an answer to my webhosting question shown above.

1-28-05
I received a notification from Trialclix for my Ebay, Efax, and AOL offers which are now visible on my account page with a "Pending" status.

What does it mean when my offer is "Pending?"
 - Once we receive confirmation from the sponsor that you completed an offer the status will be pending while we verify the information on your account

I've been using TrialClix for a week now and I have 825 points already from completing offers. It works fast. Some offers are marked as 'Pending' within hours of you completing them. I've got an approximate 2200 points altogether from offers and referrals. And everyday more points come in. I strongly suggest that everyone signs up because TrialClix works.

TrialClix Fan, Would you mind to share the offers you've completed with the rest of us?  I'd love to have a better idea about which offers work best.  I've heard that Real is very hasty with charging the credit card.

Account Updated:
2-1-05
Two of my three offers are now complete (EFax and AOL)!

*Edit* Between the time of 4pm and 9pm I received my First Referral!  Although they have not yet completed an offer (which of course takes time) It is very exciting to see a referral under the referral section!
    - I do not know if the referral came to me through this thread or through my instant buzz link which I am experimenting with.  If you would like an instant buzz invite, e-mail me.

Plan
1. Wait for Ebay to no longer have Pending Status
2. Cancel Efax and AOL
3. Sign up for more offers!
4. Report Back.

My Account
Offer Name   Date Completed   Points   Status

Hi,

I signed up for TrialClix about a month ago and have had both good and bad experiences.  First, the good:

--- 1. signed up for the eBay offer - successfully received 150 points (but it took about 2 weeks)

--- 2. signed up for freecreditprofile offer - successfully received 100 points

--- 3. signed up for the Blockbuster online offer - successfully recieved 200 points (very quickly)

--- 4. signed up for the consumerinfo.com offer - successfully recieved 125 points

But...I have completed several offers and I haven't received points:

--- 1. completed the RealOne SuperPass offer over 4 weeks ago and have not received the 150 points

--- 2. completed the AOL for Broadband offer over 2 weeks ago and have not received the 275 points

--- 3. completed the RealNetworks RealRhapsody offer over 1 week ago and have not received the 150 points

--- 4. completed the RealNetworks RealArcade offer over 1 week ago and have not received the 100 points

--- 5. completed the MyDailyDose offer over 1 week ago (recieved the vitamins a few days ago) and still have not received the 250 points

--- 6. have referred a friend who completed offers over 2 weeks ago and have not received the referral bonus, even though my friend confirms that the status of her offers are "completed"

I've sent several e-mails politely asking for resolution to no avail.  I haven't given up, but I must admist this is disappointing.  I've completed these offers and would like to received the appropriate credit.  There are 1000 points for offers I have successfully completed but not received credit.

Any advice?  Is anyone else having these problems?

I have been with TrialClix since mid-January.

I have received credit for the following....

-America Online     1/12/2005 3:08:43 AM     275     Complete
-AOL® 9.0 Optimized    1/14/2005 1:46:57 AM    275    Complete
-RealNetworks RealRhapsody    1/15/2005 3:50:34 AM    150    Complete
-My Daily Dose Vitamins    1/15/2005 3:57:25 AM    250    Complete
-RealNetworks RealArcade GamePass    1/15/2005 4:01:42 AM    100
-eBay    1/17/2005 2:35:45 AM    150    Complete
-FreeCreditProfile    1/21/2005 12:52:46 AM    100    Complete
-AOL Call Alert    1/22/2005 1:33:48 AM    100    Complete
-Wal-Mart Online DVD Rentals    1/24/2005 2:32:54 AM    80    Complete

I have completed the following and have allowed suffiecient time (i.e. more than a month) but have NOT received credit...

-Bargain Homes Network
-Go to My PC
-Stamps.com
-NetFlix
-Discover Platinum Gas Card

That's 1225pts not awarded.  I have emailed and have received no response.  They only respond if you have a question about how to sign up for an offer.  I am seriously frustrated with this fraudulent activity.  It doesn't make sense how some of us receive credit and some do NOT even for the SAME offers.

I have finally submitted my "did not receive points" claims via the web interface found at the TrialClix website.  They have assigned them case #'s.  We'll see if that gets me anywhere.

In addition, I have a long list of referrals.  Many of them must have followed my link which I have posted in chat rooms.  I am curious to know how many points I have NOT been awarded there as well.

FRUSTRATING.

I just hope that when I finally CASH OUT that they will actually send me my FREE GIFT.   Has anybody received one yet from TRIALCLIX.

Wow, its cool to see that this thread got indexed by google and is now receiving some traffic.

I completed Bargain.com about 3-4 weeks ago and have not received credit.      In the past I always had to e-mail them to get credit for my offer but my e-mails are definitely not solving the problem this time.

I know that Trialclix was legit when I started this thread but now its looking kind of shady...

When was the last time anyone received credit for an offer?
Post Below.

The last time I recieved credit for an offer was Ebay, around the 15th of February.

I'm constantly receiving points from trialclix. I have several referrals who haven't followed through but as time goes on I guess they realize that trialclix is legit and then they complete an offer. The last two things I received credit for are the GPlay and Gamefly videogame rental service. Both are offers that I would consider using independantly of trialclix. I signed up for MyDailyDose, FeelSerenity, and Miracle Loss, all owened by the company called Urban Nutrition. If you don't get points for an offer, it's not trialclix fault, it's the fault of the ppl behind the offer itself. It makes no sense that Trialclix would be biased on giving credit for one offer and not another.

For philipyenst, these are the offers I've completed and received credit for so far:
Bargain.com     175
RealOne Superpass     150
GameZnFlix.com     75
Mvelopes     100
RealNetworks RealRhapsody     150
eFax     125
eBay     150
FreeCreditProfile     100
ConsumerInfo.com    150
Gamefly.com     80
GPlay.com     75

I have a total of 1655 including referrals.

If anyone is reading this for the first time and is interested in signing up. Feel free to use my link here: http://www.trialclix.com/index.asp?refID=57940

The good thing about trialclix is that you can sign up and walk away without completing an offer. I actually signed up and walked away myself. But a week or so later I saw a link for it and actually started signing up again, forgetting that I signed up already. It wasn't a problem though seeing I was using the same email address as before, so I continued from where I left off.
TrialClix is convenient and safe and over all a fun and easy alternative to referral hunting. And they're a SquareTrade Security Tested, certified site.

For all of you people out there who think that TrialClix is a scam, I have proof for you that TrialClix is legitimate and it pays off.  This proof is all available on my website, the link is at the bottom of this paragraph. TrialClix gives you free stuff simply for taking free trials for services like Netflix and Blockbuster Online.  You accumulate points when you take the free trials, and once you have enough points, you can use them to buy over 40 different items.  I have already gotten a free Nintendo DS, so it is definitely possible to do.  Check out the following website that tells you all about Trialclix, and then if you are still interested you can click on one of the links to Trialclix to get started.  You even get 50 bonus points for signing up through one of the links on the webpage below.  Good Luck

I have had good luck and bad with trial clix.  I signed up for several offers and received credit within two days.  and now it seems as if my credits are now given only sporadically.  I signed up for offers on 4/18/05 and still have not received credit.  I emailed them on that ticket reporting site and all I get is some automated response.  Finally someone emailed me saying they will check into this.

TrialClix has been not rewarding points nor shipping rewards for several weeks http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' /> .  Be VERY WARY about this site.  I'll keep you posted and let you know if they follow through with their promises!!

Good Luck.

Yeah... they finally shipped my SONY NW-HD3 20GB player.

It's funny because I was just reading posts elsewhere about people not getting stuff and it taking a long long long time.  I got the feeling that I wasn't going to see my REWARD for awhile if at all.  Then I checked the TrialClix shortly after and BAM... shipped and tracking!

I guess we'll just have to be patient with TrialClix.

I was reading a magazine which compared all the "get this free"
websites. It labeled many of them as frauds, but some were legit, it
rated this sight the highest because its spam free, and it actually
gives you the product. If you want to sign up, just click this link:
http://www.trialclix.com/index.asp?refID=150962. I've already gotten a
free xbox!

I highly recommend it, and I'm aiming to order an xbox 360.
