ioctrl.dll is giving me a headache
« on: December 28, 2005, 03:28:20 AM »
For the past 2 days I have been trying to do everything to get this thing off my computer. Every 5 seconds... * For real* a little box pops up on my screen ...even when I'm not on the net and it says there is malicious spyware on your computer. Well somehow I am Praying that it is JUST that ioctrl.dll thing. I read what hatefilters said http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/?showtopic=24655  and I did it I restarted in SAFE and renamed and then I restarted and tried to remove but no. It says it can't remove because it can't be found.
Will someone please help me?? I am ready to throw my computer out the window.  I have SystemMechanic 6 Professional I bought last night but it didn't find it either. Does anyone know if it is good...If not I will return it. Thank You and can't wait to hear back!!

I've never used it and probably isn't needed

It would be best if you supply a Hijackthis log
This way we will know if anything else is hiding that needs removed
From my signature below, download and save to a permanent folder Hijackthis 1.99.1

Open Hijackthis.exe

Do a "System Scan and Save logfile"
A text file should open
copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log  here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important
