Battery Icon on Laptop
« on: March 14, 2006, 11:34:02 PM »
Has anyone heard of this?

I can't seem to get the Battery Icon showing on my system tray - and I've already ensured the bar has been disconnected. I've tried adding the icon to always show on system tray, and the Power bar shows but all it says is AC Power On, it doesnt even tell you how much left is remaining after disconnecting the battery plug.

I googled this and found I'm not the only one with this problem (according to this site: http://hardware.mcse.ms/archive27-2004-12-117963.html) but tried using those steps to fix and it still doesn't work.

also when I disconnect the battery, the life of the battery doesn't even last more than an hour-ish.

So could the problem also be from the battery?

Thoughts pls?!

Have you tried restoring the icon through battery settings in the control panel?
