How do i install win xp pro onto a 400 GB Hd?

my CPU is a AMD 64 3000+  Ram 400 fsb  512 video card is a Nvidia 550 256 Mb ram.
im currently using a 160 ide hd  i wish to switch to a 400 GB sata HD.
can anyone help me  your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreacied.
