floppy A not accessible
« on: December 11, 2001, 04:28:54 PM »
Please help me if anyone has any clues.
I\'ve just networked 2 computers with crossover cable and one floppy A in win98 machine is not accessible and everything else works fine.
I\'ve replaced that A drive but still got the same problem. Please reply to this if you know how to fix it.
Thanks.

make sure the data cable and power cables connecting the floppy are on correctly
if they\'re backwards then it won\'t work right

first, check the cable. make sure the light is not on always. if it is on always then the cable is connected wrongly,. then make sure the power cable is connected. ( who know) . then try to change the cable ( the cable is cheep is it) . then check the bios, make sure the floppy setting are correct, if you are not sure , then you can load the defauld for the page . and if you are accessing the drive ove network. make sure there are diskette in the drive .
