suppress reboot after win media player 7.1 install

anyone know how to do this?  the executable (mp71.exe) is a self extracting file that has setup_wm.exe inside.  running either, i can use the /Q:A switch to force a silent installation.  what i haven\'t figured out yet is how to keep it from rebooting automatically (the IE5.5sp2 reboot could be suppressed using /R:N, but this doesn\'t seem to work on mp71).  (i\'m doing this because i\'m building a cd that boots with win2k, sp2 slipstreamed, installs ie5.5sp2, all the hotfixes, and some other apps, including mp71.  it does this right now, but mp71 forces that reboot in the middle and it\'s pretty annoying.)

thx,

kgb

I don\'t know the answer to that question, but is there a way you can have it installed last, when you\'d want to reboot anyways?

that\'s what i\'m doing now.  a slight problem with that is that i also am installing DirectX 8.1 automatically and it also forces a reboot.  i\'m doing these things in the GuiRunOnce section using batch files.  i\'ve found that after it reboots, it will actually keep going with the items in GuiRunOnce, but for some reason, it skips one:
say have lines in GuiRunOnce that execute batch1.bat, batch2.bat and batch3.bat, in that order.  in batch1.bat, there is something that forces a reboot.  after the reboot, batch3.bat is executed with no trace of any execution of batch2.bat.  even after the install is complete and the computer has been rebooted one last time and i log in, none of the applications or hotfixes from batch2.bat have been installed.  my current workaround for this is to just put in a dummy batch \"hello world\" file in between these so that if something gets skipped, then it\'s that and not something important.  that\'s working so far, but i\'d really like to suppress the reboots...

I used an AutoIt script to let it go through it\'s normal install (i.e., not unattended) and click the \"No\" button for me when it asks to reboot.  Simple enough, eh?  AutoIt is a cool app, much like ScriptIt, with the added bonus of allowing you to \"compile\" the AutoIt script in to a standalone executable.
