Windows security center has detected spywares in your computer. It is strongly recommended to use special anti-spyware tool to prevent data loss" then there is this small popup at the right btm corner, keep prompting mi to download antispyware. Well i clicked and it downloaded and installed a program call BRAVENET SECURITY. I uninstalled it after it scan finish. It states that there is a total of 39 threats, mostly trojans. But i cant remove coz it says nid to pay. o.O This popup is irritating mi!! and i cant change back my desktop, coz it says my task manager is being disabled when i did not disable it!! HelP!!!

Hi CiRebOi
Ensure you do all the following I post below to ensure we get this computer running at top notch

Try and do all the below posted, if you get stuck on a step
Carry on

Access your add/remove programs and remove if found
180 solutions
Seekmo Search Assistant
Elitebar
MyWebSearch
or anything similiar

Reboot the computer if any of the above were found and uninstalled, this is important

Back in Windows
Do all the following
Download this file - Combofix.exe and save it too desktop
We will need it later, please don't run it yet

Download [color=\"red\"]SmitfraudFix[/color][/url] (by S!Ri)
Extract the contents (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.
We will need this later

==Download, install, and update  Ewido anti-spyware[list=1]
  • Load Ewido and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.
  • After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
  • Close Ewido. Do not run it yet.
==Download and install Windows CleanUp! 4.5.2
Don't run a scan yet

CleanUp! attempts to delete files from various temporary directories (including download directories/caches),
as well as emptying the Recycle Bins.
If you make a habit of saving files that you wish to keep in any of these places,  they will be deleted when CleanUp! is run.
Please move them too a different location before we run this tool if the above is true
Note: It is generally considered poor practice to use temporary folders or the Recycle Bin to store files you intend to keep.

Please download miekiemoes' LQfix batch here:
http://users.telenet.be/bluepatchy/miekiem...tools/LQfix.zip
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Print and/or save the rest of these instructions to a text file saved to desktop
This is very important, as I need you too reboot into safe mode without internet connection

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode. To boot into Safe Mode, please restart your computer. Tap F8 before Windows loads. Select Safe Mode on the screen that appears.
Sign in with your normal user account

Once in safe mode
==Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

    * Empty Recycle Bins
    * Delete Cookies
    * Delete Prefetch files
    * Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
When it's done>>Click Close
DECLINE to Log off or Restart the computer
NOTE: The first time you run CleanUp! it may prompt to run in Demonstration mode
Deny this, we want to run the actual cleanup!!

==Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process.  A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process
I'll need to see these later, by default they are also saved at C:\rapport.txt

If a reboot was required, reboot back to safe mode
If it wasn't required, remain in safe mode

==Double click on LQFix.bat
A dos window will open then close, this is normal

Ewido Scan
  • Then run Ewido and click on the Scanner tab at the top and then click on Complete System Scan.  This scan can take quite a while to run, so be prepared.
  • Ewido will list any infections found on the left hand side. When the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. Ewido will display "All actions have been applied" on the right hand side.
  • Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As".  This will create a text file.  Make sure you know where to find this file again (like on the Desktop).
Reboot back to Normal mode
Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Post back the following please
1. Run Hijackthis again and post back a fresh log
2. Post the whole report from Ewido's
3. Post the log from Smitfraudfix>>C:\Rapport.txt
4. Post the log from Combofix

It may take more than one reply to include all the info
I need to see all the following please

Do a "System scan only" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MyWebSearch Email Plugin] C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\mwsoemon.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [msnmsgq32] C:\WINDOWS\msnmsgq.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MsnExplorer] C:\WINDOWS\shch.exe /i
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Generic Proc] procmsg.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Windows Generic Proc] procmsg.exe
O4 - Startup: MyWebSearch Email Plugin.lnk = C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\MWSOEMON.EXE
O4 - Global Startup: MyWebSearch Email Plugin.lnk = C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\MWSOEMON.EXE
O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.imgfarm.com/images/nocache/funwe...up1.0.0.8-2.cab
O16 - DPF: {1D6711C8-7154-40BB-8380-3DEA45B69CBF} -
O21 - SSODL: SysTray.Exconga - {7722ECFF-4E56-4E5b-B53C-E65294F575E0} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ojejaoec.dll (file missing)

After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows
Including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Reboot the computer

Find and delete the following files if they exist, exact file names please
C:\WINDOWS\msnmsgq.exe <-file
C:\WINDOWS\shch.exe <-file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\procmsg.exe <-file
C:\Program Files\aolx\as.exe <-file
C:\Program Files\aolx\proto.exe <-file

Come back here and post a fresh hijackthis log please

Also, from below, download and save, then unzip to your desktop 'search.zip'
So you now have search.bat extracted
Double click on 'search.bat' , a text file will open, copy>>paste back here the whole contents please

Your log looks good, I would still like to see the contents of search.bat
Not sure why it's not working on your end

from below, download and save then unzip to desktop, find_stuff.zip
So you now have find_stuff.bat extracted
Double click on find_stuff.bat, let it finish, a folder will be placed on desktop called
'Files'
Open the Files folder and copy>>paste back here the contents of look1.txt please

Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad)
Hit OK
Copy the contents of the CODE box below, not including the word "code"
Paste it to the empty Notepad file
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
IMPORTANT>>>Change the Save as Type to All Files.
Name the file as fix.reg

Save this file on the desktop
Ensure to copy from REGEDIT4 and down in the code box

Code: [Select]
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole]
"Windows Generic Proc"=-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]
"Windows Generic Proc"=-

Double click on fix.reg and allow to add/merge to the registry

Open the Windows Control Panel>>Open the Java Icon
Under the General tab>>Delete files
Leave all 3 entries selected and press OK
Exit

Access your add/remove programs
Remove any older versions of Java, as they are out of date
This includes
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 2
Reboot the computer

Back in Windows
Access the following link to update your version of Java
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Save the Windows (OFFLINE) installer to your desktop
Double click on the installer and follow the prompts
Once installed delete the installer from desktop

Did you uninstall your Firewall software?
I seen earlier you had Zone Alarm installed
Most online games, if you check their respective websites
will have instructions how to allow the game thru the Firewall

Do you have any AntiVirus software on this computer?
If you don't have your own to install,  I can supply you a link to a free AV

Do you have both Ad-Aware Se Personal 1.06 or Spybot 1.4
Don't go downloading them from a bogus link, just let me know and I'll link you to them

Okay, let's get some of those programs on your computer
And hold onto ALL of these, there all yours for free

First: Get that firewall reinstalled, it's not safe being online without a good firewall in place
If you decide not to reinstall ZoneAlarm
Try: Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall
The full version will become a limited free version after 30 days
DO NOT run more that one software firewall, it can cause conflicts

*Install  SpywareBlaster 3.5.1 by JavaCool
    *Will block bad ActiveX Controls
*Block Malevolent cookies in Internet Explorer and Firefox
*Restrict actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer
After installation, Check for updates and then click the "Enable all protection"
"Check for updates every couple of weeks"
after every update just simply click the "enable protection on all unprotected items"

Afterwards:
Download and Install
Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06

Open Ad-Aware, ensure to click the  check for updates now link and Connect to download the latest updates
Close out after it is updated, as we will need it later
Open Ad-Aware SE 1.06
Click START
Click the radio button to Smart System scan then click NEXT
When it's finished scanning
At this point you should either right click on the screen and and choose the "Select All" Objects option or individually put a checkmark in each objects checkbox
click on the Next button. Ad-Aware SE will now present you with a confirmation box as to whether or not you would like to remove the objects you have just selected. Press the "OK" button

RESTART your computer to finish the cleaning process
===================================

Download and Install Spybot 1.4 from
HERE

After installation--Click the UPDATE button on the left
SEARCH FOR UPDATES on the right
Check, and then download all updates
After update is complete
Click the "Search & Destroy" button on the left
"Check for Problems"---When the Scan is complete
FIX all selected promblems in RED

RESTART the computer if anything in Red was found and fixed

You need an AntiVirus if you don't have your own to install
Choose ONLY one from the list below
Again, just like a firewall,  having more than one active AV running can cause system instabilities

AVG 7 by Grisoft

Avast Home Edition by ALWIL

Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic

After you have your new AV installed, ensure it is updated and run a full system scan
Let it clean whatever it finds
Reboot the computer afterwards

Come back here and post one last hijackthis log and let me know how things are running please
