Speed issues and CPU usage at 100% (all the time)
« on: September 12, 2006, 04:10:06 PM »
I've got an issue that's bothering me.
When I turn on my computer, Everything takes too long to load and All I have set to run at startup is really AVAST and MSN I usually just exit Quicktime right away. Furthermore, when I go into the task manager and check the processes, I usually have to quit a few of them to help the computer start faster. Lately however, what's been happening is while the computer is running, it acts like it would while I'm performing a scan or something, and nothing I do seems to speed it up. I'm trying to use my SNES emulator or my GBA one, and its laggy. This has happened several times before. I just want to see if there's anything that can be done.
Also, please refer to my post in the HARDWARE section, I have a problem that may end up being somehow related to this...

The last time you were here you didn't post back with a fresh hijackthis log
Can I see a fresh one now please
DON'T disable anything from running on startup
I want to see the log without interference from any programs

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?
