I am fairly new to this type of burning so please bear with me. I just purchased a hp dvd writer 200E for the purpose of backing up my dvd collection. I researched how to do this via the net and I thought I had everything covered until I actually tried it. I am using Smartripper to rip the files from the dvd to my hardrive. I am successful in ripping the files to my hardrive but it is right after that that I get stuck. My first attempt I simply burned all the files to my dvd+r disk and ran to my stand alone dvd player to test it. I got an error message. I realized that I needed to do something to the files to get them to play on my dvd player. I know I am missing a step between the ripping and the burning of the dvd+r disc. I am pretty desperate. I feel like I am trying to complete a puzzle but am missing the final piece. Can anyone please help shed some light on my problem. Thanks!
