I haven't heard back from Adlex or Jagex, so I still don't see this site going down, but just in case I wanted to let you know about our sister site,
www.techgeek101.com . It's an exact copy of this site as of around this time last year (so, not a lot of recent posts, but there's a few). Since TheTechGuide is owned by a corporation, and TechGeek101 is owned privately by me, what affects one should not affect the other.
Also, if TheTechGuide goes down for server issues, you could use TechGeek101 while you're waiting for the site to come back up. Now, we're still working on getting TTG 100% replicated across this and the backup server, so it should be a non-issue soon, but as of now an outage could cause the site to be down for several hours.
Don't post on this site about TechGeek101 being a backup for TTG, especially in the runescape sections (and especially don't talk about all the runescape stuff on there). I don't want Jagex targeting it, it'd be bad if they got both at the same time. I'd want them to start their whole procedure all over again, taking a year or more...plus I'd have a better idea of how to handle them, since I would have already gone through it (this is assuming absolute worst case scenario, I doubt anything at all will happen to this site, but better safe than sorry).
Feel free to post there for the heck of it, use it as a semi-private forum (only so because not many people know it exists), whatever. As long as you don't post on this site about runescape discussions going on over there, everything's fine.
Oh, and it's still running the older version of the forum software, so the old skin's available, for those that need a quick fix
