D/load Probs

Anyone suffered this prob,
Want to d/load prog, click on save, window just stays there and nothing happens no d/load nothing.
Also if I r/click on a picture click save, I get an error message saying IE encountered a prob and shuts itself down.
Only started happening over the last couple of days before then I could happily d/load. Can\'t find any similar problem or a fix on the net, anywhere. Maybe here???

Try reinstalling IE

Tried that a couple of times, no change. Have ended up dong a system restore, going back around three weeks, has stopped the prob. Still don\'t know the cause, the only thing I can remember installing is some of the XP powertoys.
Maybe one of those caused it??? Unsure.

did you use windows update, and update office.
one part of it stops you being able to dload cetain file types
