Bootable Windows 2000 CD
« on: May 26, 2001, 09:45:24 AM »
Hi Out there...

I\'ve tried to follow the instructions to make a bootable Windows 2000 cd - slipstreamed with SP2.

I\'ve tried several times - but CDRWIN (actually the same version 3.88 as on the instruction page) but all my attemts has finished with this error (and a coaster):

CDRWin
Error: \'write\' comand failed on device 1:0:0, read write error or bad bedium detected (04h 00h 02h 03h 0Ch 09h).

I\'ve tried to get a newer version at http://www.goldenhawk.com/, because maybe my PlexWriter 12/10/32A isn\'t supported with version 3.88.

I\'ve then tried with Nero - and it burns the CD fine, but when I try to use the CD, it boots from the CD and then tell me, that it can\'t find NTLDR ..... I can read the cd fine, but I just can\'t boot from it - which was the purpose.

Any suggestions??

Thank you - Regards Leif.

Leif
