New PC Help!

Ok i got a new PC at an auction for $180 it has windows 2000 im an ok computer person but not that good with 2000 anyways i added 64 MB ram now it has 192 MB and another harddrive with 3 GB and now it just crashes when i play a game or run a program IE works fine and any other browser Firefox, Netscape, rtc.

well wut games and programs u tryin to run and did they work before you added the ram because 192mb ram isn't that much

yes and now i decided to raise the virtual memory and i raised it to 285 and it works ok but still after awhile itll do it but if i cut it off every now and then it still works i think something is draining the ram  ohh and any game or program solitaire yahoo minesweeper mostly anything.

well have you scanned for viruses, etc. I think you need more ram

yes i have with AVG and for spyware with SE personal they came with the computer and when i got it everthing worked fine it confuses me
