Hi. I have read the guide on this web site concerning the setupp.ini file on the Windows XP CD-ROM. I wanted to turn my CD that accepts volume license keys (and acts like a volume license CD) into a copy accepting retail keys and acting like a retail CD. Yes, that\'s right. I want a CD that will prompt me to activate. :-) This seems easy enough for someone with a burner and enough disk space (which I have). So, I edit the setupp.ini as instructed in the guide, and the Product Key dialog does not accept the Professional key that I have, even though it asks from the Product Key off of the \"sticker on the Windows folder\" like a retail CD would. I know what you\'re thinking (the key is wrong), and I thought the same thing. On a hunch, I punched a corporate key into the boxes and it worked. Something else is still telling this CD that it is a volume license disc. I have tried everything, using the original setupp.ini and only changing the last 3 digits, copying the entire file (save the first line) out of the guide, and changing all five digits in the original. Does anyone have any idea as to what this might be? Any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
