I think there is no way to install it over your previous windows without formatting or clean install           http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

Maybe there is some way which im unaware off but  i asked the same question to several computer specialists and didn;t manage to discover any other way http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />

If anyone else could help him that would be great.

installing XP home over w2k pro.

NOPE, if you wanted to upgrade from w2k to XP you should have gotten the XP pro, not HOME. plus you get more that you can configure with the XP pro then you can with home.

other then that you are looking at formating the drive and installing XP home on the system.
