my phone and modem are on the same frequency meaning everytime my sister calls i get kicked off =[ which sucks.. anyways do i need to buy a new house phone that doesn't run on 2.4 ghz?

You could try changing channels and see if it's any help
Or if the base stations are close, move one at minimum 10 feet or further away and see if it's any help

Chances are however, the route I took when buying my wireless basestation and cordless phone were
buying a phone at 5.8ghz and leaving router at 2.4
I have never had a conflict with both
