Hey guys I\'m new here so \"hello\" for the first time. Your knowledge about computers is much larger than mine. Any help you could throw this \"newb\'s\" way would be much appreciated. I have a few questions so I\'ll just post them here instead of making different links.
Here is my scenario,
Problem1: 2 operating systems, win 98 and win 2k pro, partitioned my drive w/ partition magic, using bootmagic to select os, after I select my os in boot magic I goto the default Windows os selection screen, you know the text. Is it possible to get rid of that default Windows os selection screen? I\'d like to know b/c I\'m going to install Linux.
Problem2: When I open internet explorer I am asked if I would like to \"work off line\" or \"try again\" when I click either of the choices the page is accessed and no problems, this only happens after I\'ve rebooted. I connect via cable modem.
Problem3: My other computer is not able to access me over our network the error says,\"no permission to access resource\" Is there something I should have unchecked?
