You mentioned a router, is this a cable router? If you want your client ip\'s assigned by the server, you first should disable the DHCP on the router (if it is a linksys cable router or such). Secondly, for the client machines to use the server as their DNS server, you should include a DNS entry in the DHCP scope instead of assigning it at the client side (going to the machines and setting the DNS IP address manually at the machine), in that DNS portion of the DHCP scope, use the comcast DNS servers IP addresses. Make sure to turn on DNS FORWARDING in your servers DNS server. Make sure that your servers IP settings point to itself as a DNS server.
