im a begginer. what software should i use?

I already have an 8 track digital recorder, but want to get into sequencers or samplers (im not sure which would be the right one), and software synths, so that I can add to and edit my tunes on my computer. The thing is im totally new to midi and there are so many different products I don’t know which one/ones to use. Also, as im a total beginner i really need it to be something that is relatively simple and beginner friendly. Can anyone recommend something? Also, is there anything that is a  software synth and a sequenser in one, cause id rather keep it simple? Hope you can help. Here are the programs i was thinking of using,[/font]

I am by no means an expert in this area but I am PC/Network technician and have several customers that use Fruityloops and love it. These people aren't computer savey at all so it must be pretty easy to use. Not sure if this program would do what you need it to do but I have yet to hear anything bad about it. Not very informative I know lol but hope this helps a bit =P

thanks for that info. it makes me more interested in using fruity loops. thanks for taking the time to help.
