check to see if you are getting a stop error.

right click on my computer > properties > advanced > startup and recovery > uncheck auto reboot, and change the memory dump size to complete.

the next time you exit the program it should give a stop error instead and that will help with troubleshooting the problem.

thank you...that worked. Only problem is that the error screen mentions nothing relavent to what made it stop...just say\'s blah blah blah ....no real relavance.

Thanks for the help though...that is real handy for ts\'n other things aswell.

Well if you have a fast internet connection you can zip up the file c:windowsmemory.dmp and then upload it to me and i can take a look at it for a possilbe cause if you would like.

or if you want to learn how to look at memory dump files go to http://www.microsoft.com/ddk/debugging/default.asp -- this is a unique skill that very few can do well. i can look at the dump file for basic things but not everything.

o no no no:-P.... \"very few can do\" was the catch line there. That is the hook for me to try on my own.

thanks for the info im about to start seeing if i can do it (or atleast well tonight). I take it that you got the hang of it so can you tell me a couple quick pointers when doing it. Something that would save time knowing going in vs. having to learn it no matter what if you try it. Make sense?.

anyways thanks for the help....im eager to get on this as soon as i get home.
