Is there any difference between the stand-alone version of Norton Ghost 2003 and the version that comes with Norton\'s System Works Pro 2003? In other words, is the version that comes with SysWrks Pro stripped down?

I believe there is some difference\'s between the bundle and the corp. version of ghost2k3. I know the 2002 was different from the corporate version of just ghost. Like system works 2002 was not the same ghost as Norton ghost 2002 corp. The corp/pro version held some difference\'s.

However with the actual ghost.exe i really didnt see anything different. I did notice extra options in GUI that were apparent. As far as the ghost.exe you use in DOS im not sure. The one you use is DOS is all you really need anyhow unless you plan on installing via network(which you can do actually but not with as many options) or using the Ghost Explorer to add/del/update .gho image\'s.

I only use the .exe. I use to use the whole thing but recently i have just used the 1mb ghost.exe. All i really need. I dont ghost over a network or unpdate image\'s though.

To be honest i only have the ghost 2003 .exe..i dont have anything else. So i dont even know what the difference\'s are between the ghost.exe 2002 and 2003. I know that all the switch\'s i use work in both...and both support 2k/xp...as far as a change long im not sure.

when in doubt however...get the standalone version of ghost...will surely have more options. Those entire bundle kit\'s like System Work\'s Pro usually dont have all the options for all the programs. If you bought each individually each would have more options. Wether you need those extra options is a different story however.
