GPU's
« on: December 01, 2008, 09:14:52 PM »
I just bought an ASUS P5Q Pro Series motherboard for my new build:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813131299

It has 2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots.  My current card is an ATI Sapphire Raedon HD 4670 512MB because I wanted to stick to a budget build.  If I were to upgrade in a couple of months and get a Sapphire Raedon HD 4850 1GB, would it perform better if I kept both in, or does it just have 2 slots so people can run dual monitors?

Lolimanoob.

That megan fox is hot.

ok back to the question.  Yeah you will notice a real perfomance increase with these PCI express slots.
When you get two GPU's, make sure they are the exact same kinds for optimum performance.

thats a nice mobo by the way, unlike the type some of these guys are running around with on this forum.  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />
