HP cd-writer 8200 not listed in CDRWIN recorder

Hi Guys,

I wanted to make a bootable win2k pro installation disk and try follow the instruction from this website. After installing the CDRWIN software (both 3.8 and 3.9), I can\'t find my external cd-writer, HP cd-writer 8200. The device list under \"Recorder\" tab just show \"No supported devices installed\". When I check at the WINCDR website, my cd-writer is actually supported. Anyone can help? Thanks in advance.

Your drive is not recognized because you have probably not installed any ASPI drivers.  Go to Adaptec.com and download and install the ASPI package version 4.7, and that should do it.  Note that the installation instructions vary depending upon what version of Windows you have.

I think that the ASPI drivers may also be available for download at the CDRWin site.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the ASPI drivers come with the CDRWIN installation and I\'ve included that during the CDRWIN setup. In the CDRWIN, under Devices and Setting window, the ASPI tab shows that the \"Use the ASPI driver installed by CDRWIN (if any)\" is selected.
