Error: sxs.dll Syntax error etc????
« on: January 19, 2003, 02:02:07 PM »
I hope someone can help. When trying to install Win XP on my new machine I get the following error message. Is there away around it.

Error:
SXS.DLL Syntax error in manifest or policy file MSWINCRT.MAN on line 4
A components file does not match the verification information present in component manifest.

Fatal Error:
One component could not be installed.

I have installed from this CD several times before on my other machines. This is the first time on a system with an AMD XP1800+ CPU. Any thing I have read so far seems to talk about the *.man files not getting copied to CD properly, I have checked my CD and all the manifests contain the right text. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
