I am trying to make a general ghost image for different omputers with different hardwares.
My platform is:
AMD Althon XP 1600+
512MB DDR ram
MSI KT266Pro2A motherboard
HD1 segate 40GB
HD2 IBM 60GB
O.S. win2k pro + sp3 + some pre-sp4
I am using vmware and clean install winxp corp. + sp1 on it, then i sysprep it and ghost a image.
I copy the above ghost image to host, my actual machine (not in vmware, it is meaningless if i ghost back in vmware)
and write to partition.
however, I can\'t boot up into winxp, I tried to boot in safe mode, it seems after it load mup.sys, it hang/reboot ...
Anyone have idea how to make the general winxp ghost image for different computer with different hardwares ?
