Limited Internet access (Wireless and Direct connect)
« on: February 03, 2013, 06:45:48 PM »

Alright recently i purchased a new laptop for school, everything was working fine and i had no problem with it.

Then the other day my internet icon shows up with yellow caution sign on it. I have full signal strength but it my access to the internet is being limited.

I read that it could be number of thing but im not sure how to go about solving this.

I have tried resetting the modem and router multiple times, still nothing helps.

My router is a NETGEAR WNR2000 v3 and i have a CISCO DPC3010 Cable modem.

i have tried turning off all my firewalls for both my desktop and laptop but still nothing helps.

:(

Not sure what\'s happening on your side, but ensure you do the following exactly as posted, see if it\'s any help

Shut down all computers in the household

Pull the power on both the modem and router

Wait a few minutes:

Plug ONLY back in the power to Modem...

Let the modem completely power up and set.. Give it about a minute

Next plug back in the Router... Wait for it to power up and set.. Give it another minute

Then power up only the desktop computer

Any luck connecting?
