Win2k Server and radius?
« on: June 24, 2003, 09:08:58 PM »
I'm looking to setup a few modems here locally to offer dialup access to some friends and family.  I figure it'd be easiest to throw a win2k machine together.  Now I already have an ISP setup and a radius server that stores everyone's usernames and passwords...can win2k do RAS authentication using radius?  I heard Win2k3 will, but haven't heard anything about 2000.  This way I could just setup users on my radius server, and give them access to not just the local number but all my numbers.

You want to install IAS. Internet Authentication Service. I have been using it for some time now and it works great.
