I have run into a strange problem. I can no longer drag a file and just drop it into another folder. I drag a file to a r/w disk and drop it and it then it has an arrow pointing down waiting for you to write it to the disk. In order to write it to the disk, you must go to file and then click on write to disk. It then will write to the disk but takes a very long time. I wrote some 20 small files to a disk and it took over 20 minutes !
I have not been able to figure out what I have done and why this is happening. It may be a simple solution but I cannot figure it out. Any help would really be appreciated!

P.S. This started after installing the new service pack for windows xp.
