im having a long hard look about purchasing a 2wire homeportal 1000SW (or similar) HPNA Router from the US and getting it shipped to the UK. THe reason for that is the technology is not very popular here and the one place that sells similar items rips you off bigtime because they have a virtual monopoly. My question is, since the US and UK have different phoneline sockets on the wall, would this router still work if i put a US to UK phonline adapter socket into the wall and THEN connected everything else as the user manuals say?
