Windows 2000 Server - And the setupp.ini file
« on: September 21, 2003, 11:31:20 AM »
Hello All,

I have been trying to work with the setupp.ini file on Windows 2000 Server and have not bee able to get the sucker working. I have been able to get Win2kWS working fine.

Here are some of the details:

My setupp.ini file on the Windows 2000 Server CD starts as:
[Pid]
ExtraData=6E797875766D79686E691614846D8A
Pid=51876000

I change it to:
[Pid]
ExtraData=6E797875766D79686E691614846D8A
Pid=51876000

and I get an error when setting up.

I notice the Windows 2000 pro CD PID is:
Pid=51873003

What of the 51876 and 51873? Does the 51876xxx version of Windows 2000 not support this operation? I was wondering if I changed it to 51873, it might work but its not worth another coaster. hehe....

Thanks,
BigBird

According to your post, you made no changes.  I'm assuming you're wanting it to bypass the serial check?  If so then try replacing the last three numbers of the Pid to 270, leaving the rest the same.
