Win XP Boot screen
« on: October 15, 2003, 11:21:55 AM »
Ok, I'm in the process of changing the boot screen in Windows XP pro. I've already got the bitmap I'm going to use created,  I opened the NTOSKNL.exe file with resource hacker and replaced bitmap #1 with my bitmap. then restarted my computer. Now the bootscreen is blank with just the blue bar moving across the bottom I can't get my bitmap to appear. Any suggestions?

There is a specific size that the bitmak must be, cant remember the exact size. And it must be 16 colours.
Think this is all documented at www.themexp.com if I can remember the URL
