Win XP Activation crack
« Reply #320 on: January 27, 2010, 12:09:32 PM »
I've looked thru and haven't found my particular problem but its similar to this product.

I have a couple Dell & Gateway computers where I don't have the original CD's for and the hard drives had to be reformatted.  I've tried installing legit and clean versions of XP on the machines and on boot, the system says that in order to continue, activation is required.  I activate it online and everything is fine but then the activation required message pops up again....rinse and repeat.

Dell/Gateway claim the only work around is to repurchase the discs (which are no longer available) or install using an Original Windows disk (which is what I did) but they don't tell you how to get around the Activation Required error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you thieves simply buy the software like every other legal and legit person. It sounds like you spend an awful lot of time finding ways to beat the system which is plain unethical. What some of you are doing is stealing plain and simple..

I have a keygen for xp pro that works, i dont get any pop ups saying "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting" anymore. But when I tried to use windows update, the "genuine check" said that "this key was not provided by Microsoft".

I also tried the AntiWPA3.cmd but that didnt help either.

How can I pass the genuine check? (Without paying for a third XP licence... Ive already bought two)

Edit:

BTW, after using AntiWPA3 my keygen doesnt remove the error messages saying "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting" anymore.

Anybody knows how to remove AntiWPA3 again?

wanna talk ethics? how about you take a look at your user name. thats really vulgar and rather makes me want to slowly choke the life out of someone that would even suggest it

hey wood...I bought my laptop in 2007 and got two recovery cds..one is for win95... and the other is for win98. Since my OS is XP 3sp and both discs will reformat my hd it seems like a stupid option to use either. My system had a massive failure recently and I had to reload winxp with a friends disk... I was hoping my product key on the back of my laptop would work, but big suprise it didnt. I have used win since 3.1 and the time and money i put into using and fixing their system makes me feel like i have the right to fix my system with no bs, but no, thats a pipe dream...ms just wants to fk us out of our money and their fix is to buy win7...isnt it ironic..dont ya think? I solved the prob of xp asking to be activated...thats easy...i just want to make my key genuine so i can update without a prob...since xp or any win os is so full of holes we are all just a click away from hell. dont we all deserve respect from ms...we did make them rich afterall

Only not everyone who needs to know the answer is pirating software; some people had computer problems and had to reaccess their C drive, on which XP is now asking for activation...again.  Just enter the key?  Can't.  The field doesn't come up.  Although since C can again be accessed, it would be great to bypass the activation and use my system like normal again.

I'm in no way saying it's acceptable to crack or steal software- but with the exorbitant prices it's forcing those who cannot afford it to look for other solutions. Not everyone can afford to spend thousands of dollars on software. Add up all the programs you might need- Windows, Office, any necessary Adobe programs, you're looking at a lot of money. Maybe if Windows, Adobe, etc... didn't charge so much, piracy wouldn't be the issue that it is.

Here follows what I did, and has worked so far. I still have to see what happens after 30 days, but here goes the hint if someone wants to try. Instructions partly based in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1TXPH0tZEk
and partly in trial-error http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' /> .

1.Install a Torrent client
2.Download last release of AntiWPA: isohunt.com/torrent_details/131409413/XP+SP3+%5BAntiWPA%5D+Activator?tab=summary
3.Download Windows Xp Genuine Forever 100%: isohunt.com/torrent_details/60720773/Windows+Xp+Genuine+Forever+100%25?tab=summary
4.Download WinXP SP3 network install version* if needed
5.Log in as Administrator, if not yet
6.Install SP3 before changing anything** (check http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950717/en-us before)
7Website removed for spammingn AntiWPA
(Now WinXP is activated, but your license key may be still blocked)
8.From "Genuine" downloaded files, copy all contents from "System32" to your actual System32 folder (usually C:\Windows\System32\)
9.Still from "Genuine" files, in folder System32, run 1.reg - Say "Yes" to the registry change
(Now you own a "genuine" install and can flawlessly run Windows Update)

*Installing SP3 from Winblows Update didn't work for me. Maybe a different key would do, but I didn't try.
**Installing SP3 after patches gave me "Internal error" which, according to the logs, is due to licensing. Maybe a different key would do, but I didn't try.

Note 1
In case you already patched your system and want to install SP3,  you can follow advice from M$ itself:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949384/en-us
Open C:\Windows\svcpack.log in Notepad or similar, Search  "CheckVLKForBlock failed" and read the lines right above. Follow  instructions from link above. In my case, it was the second case, and  the solution worked.

Note 2
According to Avira's AntiVir, there's nothing wrong in the patches. But check for yourself.

Note 3
I've seen FittMunken's guide back in this thread (http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10100&st=183) but it didn't seem necessary (and some reported as nonfuncional). I don't know if it makes a difference, and didn't try. Maybe would solve the SP3 issue above, maybe not. I'll leave that to the experts.

That's it! Let's pray for the thing to work (specially after 30 days). Well, that's what we always do about Windoze, isn't it http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> ?
Best regards,
Me

That was meant to read "seven", "dot", "Run", and "AntiWPA". But "dot"  and "ru" seems a bad combination. So read "7.Execute AntiWPA" (or will  "dot" "exe" be blocked too? http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' /> ).

I had to reinstall Windoze (ah, what a surprise), so the 30 day wait will get a bit longer. I can't remember the exact day I redid everything, but I guess we'll have good or bad news in two weeks.

See ya,
me

Cheers! It worked! http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' /> Over a month after crack above, and I could do a Windows Update and restart, without licensing hiccups or any annoyance (well, one crash, but that's eXPected). So that's the way to go.
Important: never allow auto updates, and watch when you use Windows Update. It can screw your "validated" install.
Good luck.
