A little over two years ago I found in a computer mag (which? I don't remember) instructions for a registry change so that instead of a wide "button" on the taskbar (with text) for running programs, I had just the pictoral icon - i.e. a small square for each running program. For me that was great. But in the meantime my husband has taken over that computer and I have another. I want very much to change the taskbar back to the way it was (normal) for him, but I cannot find anywhere the notes I made on what I did at the time, so I cannot reverse the setting.

BTW I'm not talking about "quick start" icons, or the icons in the tray, I mean the (normally) wide rectangular buttons on the taskbar.
Can anyone suggest where I might look in the registry? Or maybe even under what sub-key I might find this setting? The OS is Win ME.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated (most especially from my husband who keeps squinting to see which icon/button is which).
Thanks in advance
