windows components bugging

whenever I use windows media player, or even my search engine to look for files in the computer, it buggs, it doesn't do anything then closes, I scaned for viruses and runned my Ad-Aware many times, but nothing changes, and I donno what to do, I cant use the search nor explorer nor wmp...help!

Can you please download Hijackthis 1.99
Important: Create a Permanent folder for Hijackthis
Double Click "MY Computer"
Open your C: drive
Click "File" >>> "New" >>>> "Folder"
A new folder will be created, name it HJT

Now you will have C:\HJT

Download Hijackthis from HERE or HERE
Save it to that new folder

Do a System scan and Save logfile
copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log
here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important
