Have you tried downloading and running Microsoft's Anti Spyware program?  You might also want to run disk clean up and defrag your hard drive.

Thanks for the suggestion 1badtech
I'm finding Microsoft Beta Anti-Spyware becoming more competent in removal of Spyware myself

Jen, if you still need a hand with your hijackthis log please register to the forum
If you would like to try 1badtech's suggestion and run Micosoft Anti-Spyware through your computer
Please see the post at the top of the forum labelled
Removal and Preventive tools
You will find a link to it there

After running an updated scan with it and fixing everything it finds
Restart your computer

Register to the forum and post back a fresh Hijackthis log, thanks

It doesn't remove everything but it will remove most of the annoying spywares.    I have to sometimes remove entries in the registry (run) and remove files in the windows\system32 directory.

That's why Hijackthis helps out
No need for the user entering the registry if there uncomfortable

As you can see with a hijackthis log
It will show running processes, bad and good
Which will help to identify bad files
Not all sometimes however

an 04 entry in fixed by hijackthis
O4 - HKLM\..\Run
Will remove that key in most instances
and so on

As you can see by this log
the 023 entries, most are legit
but this entry
O23 - Service: ZESOFT - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\zeta.exe

Is a bad service
Normally fixing that with hijackthis will disable that service from running
Watch what you fix however

The 016 entries are related to Active X controls
Eg...
O16 - DPF: {15AD4789-CDB4-47E1-A9DA-992EE8E6BAD6} - http://static.windupdates.com/cab/Download...bridge-c336.cab
Looks legit, but it's actually bad

By the way 1badTech
On my XP machine, I have Spybot >>> Ad-Aware>>Microsoft's Anti-Spyware proteciton
I don't use any of the Realtime protection
For realtime protection I use SpywareGuard
I use the Immunization feature of Spybot's
Use IE-Spyad and SpywareBlaster
The only thing that Microsoft's AS program finds on my machine
It flags a few Restricted zones settings it wants to fix but I know they're legit
They were set by IE-Spyad
MAS is still fairly new, a spinoff of Giant's Anti-Spyware removal software
But it is becoming more competent
Spybot and Ad-Aware have been around much longer
I use Spybot's beta updates so sometimes it flags a legit entry, but I do use the beta version
The normal version is after the beta tests>>suckers like me  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

Most important of all, I keep up on all Critcal updates from Microsoft and use Firefox as my primary browser
