How is your work blocking it?  I have a range of ports open for irc, from 6662 up to 7000 or so.  I can open more up, if they are just blocking a range.  Let me know.

I\'ll have to talk to some people to find what range they are blocking.  Might be able to run through another way.  They keep changing our proxies here which makes things fun.

Well the chat is a regular irc server, so if you know a work-around to get on irc...hop on in.  Server is irc.thetechguide.com and channel is #techchat.
