hi there
i bought a pc with windows xp home preinstalled from a shop but never received the xp cd only the instruction manual...i was screwed over and have only realised now...i had to reinstall windows but when i tried to activate it the folks at microsoft said it wasnt legit...so
does anyone know how i can bypass the activation on xp home?

It's best to contact Microsoft and tell them about it. They often will give you a new copy.
If you must bypass activation (called WPA) try antiwpa4.tk

but........how can i apply that patch if can't log on to windows.....i tried to bot in safe mode but activation was needed also to logon,.,.is there any way to execute it in dos mode./.....thanksssss
