When i boot my amd duron 750 with my Geforce2 Mx the computer always reboot when i see the windows98 screen. The card was working fine before. When i put my old matrox g100 everything work fine. I\'ve flash my bios yesterday with the latest release but same thing. So if someone have an idea of the problems would really like to know. There is a 3com network card,an LG burner with an Asus CD-rom and the motherboard is an Asus A7V . Can it be a problem with the irq??thx in advance

When in doubt, check your power supply. Is it up to the task?
Did you completely remove the Matrox drivers/registry entries? If not use safe mode to remove them.
Clean the contacts on the card as well.

my Geforce2 Mx was the original card inside and it was working for 4 months, when i got the reboot problem i tried and old car (matrox g100) and it was working fine. Also i have a 300w power supply so that\'s not the problem.it\'s really weird!!

this is by no means law; but ...
when a chip is under cooled; it usually locks down right around the boot screen for 2k / the splash screen for 98.

Check your heat sink and fan. Fan may be slowing down; letting the chip overheat.
