My review for Disney’s Extreme Skate Adventure
“Look mom, I can ride a skateboard.”
Title: Disney’s Extreme Skate Adventure
Platform: Gamecube
My Rating: 7.9/10
Gameplay:
In this Skate adventure, you are a kid and love to skateboard! You skate around and somehow manage to find magic Disney scrolls that will teleport you into movies like The Lion King and others like Tarzan. You then can meet characters like Timon and Pumba or little Tarzan himself.
Sound:
The game features many songs you can listen to while skating. Some of them are really childish songs singing about childhood themes like “I don’t wanna grow up” or “Skating around.” The songs are pretty annoying if you are already in your teen years and just wanted the game to skate with Tarzan and Simba.
Graphics:
The graphics are very accurate and great when it comes to characters like Simba and Timon or even Buzz Lightyear who has a lot of buttons on his space suit. The skateboards on the game are also really detailed.
Maneuvering:
The skaters in the game are okay when controlling them. Sometimes the characters tend to get a little hard to maneuver with when making corner turns.
Entertaining:
Overall, the game is entertaining if you’re into Disney. Also, he gamecase does say that the Disney’s Skate Adventure was copied after Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4. But it still bugs you knowing your 16 years old and your playing a game made for 8 year olds. But it’s still pretty fun to skate with your Disney friends like Woody or Raffiki even if you are too old.
