My review for Dragonball Z: Taiketsu
The game where the Z fighters don’t even look like themselves!
Title: Dragonball Z: Taiketsu
Platform: Gameboy Advance
My Rating: 4/10
Gameplay:
Taiketsu is a game that was made to bring the Dragonball Z fighting experience to the Gameboy and obviously one of the first attempts. The game is like mortal combat on the Super Nintendo but the fighter’s move a bit slower.
Sound:
This game sure likes to copy the early mortal combat games since the game also has a little rushed up music during the fighting. If you think that’s bad, the matches also start with a deep voice that says, “fight!”
Graphics:
The graphics are okay….I guess. You can’t make out the character’s faces nor if their hands have fingers or are all stuck together. The game is okay judging that the game was meant to be on the handheld gameboy advance.
Maneuvering:
The fighters in this game jump up in the air to attack then fall to the ground on their feet as if there pockets were suddenly filled with rocks. This game just defies gravity even though you have no problem moving around.
Entertaining:
The game is entertaining if you don’t mind going back to the days of the classic streetfighter and mortal kombat games on the Snes. The game is basic jumping, kicking, punching, and only one super move. If you ask me, we are way too advanced in gaming technology to go back to regular one-camera-view of fighting.
