Does anyone know if  dvd-cloner works well, I tried the demo and it want allow the menues of dvd\'s to burn correctly, Iam using dvd-rom to dvd+rw/r on dvd/r and dvd/rw, I would like to hear some honest opinions about it before I drop 60 bucks.

Well I bought dvd-cloner anyway, it works great burning dvd\'s to dvd but it only works if you choose not to burn the menus. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, oh by the way the quality, sound dts, dolby digital and 5-1 are great, can\'t tell the difference so all of you out there trying to figure out how to do this and keep getting told you have to compile, compress, sqeeze, convert to mpeg, vcd and so on, it aint that difficult if u have dvd burner and don\'t mind not having the menus which Iam hoping is a way to correct. The program is dvd-cloner and cost 60 bucks, there is another one out there called dvd x copy by 321 studios for 99 dollars it probably copies the menues and everthing, it was codeveloped by the person behind ifoedit. And don\'t bother trying to find a way around the paid registration.

Alright I take it all back, dvd-cloner sucks, I can\'t get the second disk to play right. I don\'t know about dvd x copy but I aint paying 99 bucks to find out, Iam already out 59. I guess I will just have to learn to compress, compile and squeeze.

Na u dont need a DVD RW drive to burn DVD\'s...u can use a prog called DVD Copy plus...what this does is it rips the .ifo file from the DVD then u use a prog called DVDx to convert the IFO to .MPEG then u use another prog called VCD Easy to burn the MPEG as a VCD to a regular CDR...the quality is the same...it takes a long time...bout 4 hours depending on ur CPU speed i have a 1Ghz P3 it takes about for hours fora  afull movie and u gota add the rootmenu manually...but other than that its a cool prog

if you have a dvd burner, you can burn a dvd
make a image of youre dvd with a program like nero or prassi
after that burn the image in youre dvd burner
But mostly its nesseserry to rip first and than split the session
before you can make youre own dvd, because there is not enough space to burn it on one dvd rom.
Note:its possible on bigger dvds(more space)
ore you can make the bitrange smaller,to make it fits.

Hi,

I was just wondering if you figured out how to copy the DVD\'s?  I just bought a Toshiba SD5002 DVD RW and I have DVDR Media and I can\'t figure out how to burn dvd movies onto them.  Do you need additional software?   I am using Instant cd/dvd 6.5 and I can\'t seem to do it.

Thanks,  Ed  (cobrakai34Email Removed)

Any help would be much appreciated.

The only software that I have come accross is DVD Xcopy.  It allows you to create \"backups\" of your original DVD movies and create exact copies of the original on a DVD-R.  The software runs about $100 but is well worth it.  It is very easy and straight forward to use.

DVD XCopy can be purchase online at http://www.dvdxcopy.com/.  Keep in mind that most movies will take up two discs if you want all of the special features included.  If you want only the movie, it will usually fit on one disc.  Remember, a commercial DVD has double the capacity of the blank DVD-R/DVD-RW we can purchase because they are double layered (that is why two discs are sometime necessary to backup what they have on one).  It usually takes me an hour or so to burn a movie and have yet to be dissapointed with the quality.  Well worth the money, I highly recommend it.

I recently got an HP DVD+RW 200i.  Is there a way to burn movies and PS2 games?  What software would I need?  Movies just say they are copyrighted, games allow it, but aren\'t recognized by the PS2.  Considering a mod chip, but not sure yet.....
