Is it possible to run a normal Win2k Terminal Client in order to administrate a Win2k Server from a WinXP Pro workstation?

Hey Roadkill,

Terminal services uses a protocol called RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol). The version in Windows XP is an extension of the version in Windows 2000 (providing more controls, better color depth, etc).... but this all depends on what client and server versions you\'re using.

So, I suspect if you use the TS Client disks you can make in TS on Win2k and install the client on WinXP, you should be fine... if you use the WinXP TS client software, you will probably be fine but your functionality will be limited to what the server can handle.

I say, give it a shot and let us know if it woks http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':o\' />)
