WORMS!!
« on: March 10, 2006, 08:24:22 PM »
I caught the worm VB.CC.  I am not sure if I deleted it or not, but my comp hasn't worked right since I got the worm.  I've tried everything, just don't know what to do at this point!  I am not able to do a disk defragment or burn cd's anymore.  Everytime I try to defrag...defrag locks up.  Same with my cd burner.  If someone out there knows what I have to do to fix this I'd be very grateful!!

Did the A-V call it(becides vb.cc) an "java open stream" or something to that effect..If so  clean out your java temp internet cache from java control panel.Java control panel is located in windows control panel>>JAVA>>temp internet files>>>delete>done

But if you want you can DL highjackthis and let someone look at your log..

give this a try

open control panel >> locate java icon and open >>ok now you will be in the java control panel>>locate temp internet files(Its under general tab) >> click delete files >>run another A-V scan and see if it picks it up ..

read "how to post a hijackthis log " It looks like you installed highjackthis wrong, it cant be in temp
folder

Remove this once you reinstall highjackthis and run another scan

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ErrorFixer] "C:\Program Files\Error Fixer\ErrorFixer.Exe" /boot
