Hi

I ran a avg free full system scan today and it gave out the result saying that 4 objects were infected and it said virus identified as Java/ByteVerify. I am unable to delete any of these.

Try the following
Your version of Java is a bit out of date
You should update it>>For security reasons
You can run the updater thru the control panel>>Java icon

I find it best to do the following
Access your Windows Control panel and double click to open the Java Icon
Under the General tab>>Delete Files
Leave all 3 checked and click OK
That should help with the files AVG is finding

EDIT>>Just noticed you do have Java 5.0 update 6 installed, you can skip this part

Save the Windows Offline Installation to your desktop and run the installer to install the latest version

Reboot
Again access your add/remove programs
Leave the latest verion installed which is
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6

But remove all previous updates and versions

See if that helps you out
