I have a copy of a friend\'s Windows XP Pro edition and was wondering what program I can use to burn a copy for myself. Thanks.

Any uptodate cd writing software can copy the disc, just do a direct cd copy.

The problem doing this is you wont have a unique, valid, unused cd key that microsoft have activated. Without this WPA will not work. This leaves 2 solutions, ether ingnore this and the repeated reminders that XP will give, and have a fresh install every 30 days, Or to go and purches a Personal copy from a store or online, and have no need for the copy.

Hope this sets you on the correct path.

You might want to try a couple of different burn utilities.  I\'ve had problems w/ Nero, but was able to produce a clean copy with Easy CD Creator 5.  There\'s a problem w/ some burn utils that causes some of the files in the i386/ams directory to copy incorrectly.  When you try to install the burned copy you\'ll get to a point where it will error out.  Usually it\'s the control.man file that gets corrupted when burned.  Unfortunately, if that happens the burned copy is less than useless.......hope that helps
