installing friends copy win 98 se on win2k machine

[Stupid]

recently i had win2k on my computer w/ two partitions
on c: and one d:
c: ntfs and D: FAT32
i attemtped to install a friends copy of win98se and the first part of  installation was successful but then  it rebooted and now when i turn on my computer all i get is this in the corner of the screen

just that little dash
what should i do?
replace the hard drive, flash my bios, ? help me

Because C drive is NTFS, you\'re going to have to FDISK and delete all partitions and set them up again, before you can run the Win98 installation.

i can\'t get a c: prompt that is the problem
won\'t boot to a cd or to a floppy
just goes to that blank screen w/ the dash
