DOes anyone know howto revert a old 2k or Xp instaltion to the default registry entrys???

I know that from http://home.columbus.rr.com/squishee/ that the default registry settings are stored within the HIVEDEF.INF, anyone know how to use this to clean the registry and make 2k or xp boot with a cleaner registry without all the badly changed key\'s ???

With JS16 Power Tools , Registery tool , Tools  you can reset your registry with the following command \"Reset Hardware configuration \"  .
See helpfile
You have to reinstall all drivers afterwards .

Ok i got it , better reinstall w2k , with all the incompatibilities as a result .
I really do not see how to reset the software installations .Uninstall most of the sofware and then use JV16 power  tools to clean up the registry and then reinstall the software again . I understand you do not want to restart from scratch , you only want to clean up your registry
