Getting proper \'fade-in\' on custom XP boot screen?

I just modified my XP boot screen using the guide on your website...very easy! Only problem is my boot screen doesn\'t \'fade-in\' as well as before. Rather, it flickers quickly once on the screen (for a fraction of a second), & then fades-in. Is there a way to prevent it from \'flickering\' before it fades in (ie. like the original ugly XP boot screen)? Thanks.

After making your image, reload the all black palette back into it. This way, it will load the black image, and fade in the colored one with the \"real\" palette, which isn\'t saved in the image itself.
