Just a little trick Ive learned, you dont need the older software when trying to install Office 2000 Upgrade.  Most copies will work just fine if you point them back to the CDROM and install themselves accordingly.

That worked on OFFICE 97 but does not work on Office 2K Premium.

It does work on Office 2000 Standard.  Keeps me from having to load Office 97 First.

even if that didn\'t work, you woudn\'t have to install office 97, you would only need to put in the office 97cd.....
