Registry Location Of 'trial Version' Prog?

Hi Guys

I am trying to find the registry location of where a 'one install only' piece of trial-software has left its' mark. I uninstalled an old'ish program to try the new trial version, which could only be installed once, and after trying it uninstalled it - but now find that my older program will not re-install reporting that 'a trial version is present on the system'. I am thinking that the trial software probably creates a registry entry that identifies that it has been installed before, to prevent numerous 'trial' runs, but it's presence is now preventing me from installing my old program.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

ON THE REGISTRY DO A SEARCH FOR THE PROGRAM AND/OR THE COMPANY AND DELETE THE KEY, USUALLY ALL PROGRAMS INSTALL TO THE KEY: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ THEN THE NAME OF THE COMPANY ie: NORTON ANTIVIRUS FROM SYMANTEC: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symantec\Norton AntiVirus
JUST BE CAREFUL BECAUSE ONCE THE REGISTRY IS DAMAGED THE SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK.
